October 2024
Dear sisters in Christ,
I’d like to send a word of welcome as your new Diocesan President. I’ve been a Daughter since 1996 and have served in several positions in my chapter of St. Andrew at St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Fullerton and as Treasurer and 1st VP at the diocesan level. Let me say that it has been an honor and a pleasure to serve our Order for these past many years.
I became a Daughter of the King when my daughter, Jessica, was joining a newly formed Jr. Daughters chapter and was asked if I would like to join as a Senior Daughter. I wasn’t looking to become a Daughter, but the Lord knew that this was a path I was destined to take. Developing this deeper relationship with our Father has enriched my life beyond anything I could have imagined. I’m looking forward to continuing the work we are all being called to do in this wonderful community.
I would also like to invite you to our upcoming Fall Assembly being held on November 2nd at Christ the Good Shepherd in Los Angeles. Our day will begin with the screening of the investiture of our Presiding Bishop-elect Sean Rowe at 8:00am. Doors will be open at 7:30 and our regular program will begin at 9:00. Receive the Early Bird discount by registering on our website at doklosangeles.org before October 27th. I’m looking forward to our time together.
Be well and God bless you,
Sheila Lowerre
