Happy New Year! I hope your 2023 has opened with many blessings, both large and small.
As you will see, there are several important things coming along for Daughters in the LA Diocese this year. Again, we will be offering “Discerning the Call”, our online study course for all Daughters in Province VIII or any woman in discernment. Please see the article below and consider registering today.
As we look toward the next triennium of 2024-2027, we must be thinking about new diocesan officers, so a nominating committee is at work contacting Daughters who may be interested in serving. Nominations may also be made at our Spring Assembly. Save the date for that. It will be on Saturday, May 6, once again on Zoom in the early part of the day. Please watch for more details.
Then, from May 23-25, the Province VIII board is offering a leadership workshop titled “Reaching Out to Serve” at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, AZ. See the brief article below about that.
All this will be leading toward our Fall Assembly, when we will be elect new officers and make plans to attend the Triennial Convention in Louisville, KY, in summer 2024.
Last week you should have received The Messenger newsletter from Daughters of the King Province VIII. I commend to you the article with “Five Spiritual Practices for Individuals and Chapters.” To download a copy of that article, click HERE.
