DESCRIPTION:Join us for the introductory session to the Spring 2025 “Discerning the Call” course offered by the Daughters of the King of the Los Angeles Diocese. This will be a chance to get acquainted with others taking the course\, and to ask and answer questions about registration\, materials\, etc. \nBeginning on March 8\, the six-session online series is designed to help you discern whether becoming a Daughter of the King is a calling for you. It also provides the opportunity for any Daughter to review the National Study Guide of the Order before reinstatement or rededication. \nThis spring\, we would like to encourage all chapters in the Los Angeles Diocese to send at least one officer or other representative to this training course to prepare for mentoring others. \nThe course sessions are all on Zoom on Saturday afternoons from 3:00-5:00 PM (Pacific Time). Do you wish to reaffirm your vows as a Daughter? \nThis course is designed specifically for any woman communicant of the Episcopal Church who is listening for the call to become a member of The Order of the Daughters of the King®… AND\nFor any Daughter who would like to review the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service to which she vowed and is rededicating herself… AND\nFor any Daughter who may be guiding others through the discernment and preparation process toward membership. \nWe will cover the contents of the National Study Guide of The Order\, also read together and discuss the book on Benedictine Spirituality titled How to Live by Judith Valente. \nThere is no charge for this series\, but a small donation is appreciated to cover the cost of bringing the course to you online.
